Applications are open for our upcoming field trip to Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

On November 16-18, the Triangle Institute for Security Studies (TISS) will be leading a field trip to Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.Oak Ridge National Laboratory poster

The two-day itinerary, with on-site programming on November 17 and 18, is a great opportunity for students interested in nuclear issues and questions of nuclear security and nonproliferation.

Students at any level at all four of the TISS consortium schools – Duke University, North Carolina Central University, North Carolina State University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – are eligible and encouraged to apply.

The trip will depart in the late afternoon on Wednesday, November 16 and return home the night of Friday, November 18. TISS will cover the costs of transportation, accommodation, and most meals.

TISS is grateful to The Stanton Foundation for its generous support of this program.
