New Faces

On Friday, October 7, the Triangle Institute for Security Studies will be hosting its twenty-third annual New Faces conference. Join us to hear cutting-edge research from six rising stars in the field of security studies.
We are thrilled to welcome this year’s New Faces, Fola Aina, Daniel Chardell, Michael Goldfien, Soyoung Lee, J. Luis Rodriguez, and Laura Resnick Samotin, for our return to in-person New Faces! The final program is available here.
New Faces will be held in Loudermilk Hall at the Rizzo Center in Chapel Hill. To attend in person, please register in advance (registration form). Masking remains one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and others, especially in indoor settings, and we ask all in-person attendees to wear a mask indoors.
